....and what about Richard Crowley. IMO, the best news journo in RTE, asks the tough questions, he's dropped while the blonde is still there and Kenny, ffs, comes in??
Ho-hum, they bring in an ex BBC hack, wonder what he knew about Savile? and toute suite he is on side by re-employing the usual suspects, me, cynical? never.
I just completed a face-to face survey for Ipsos MRBI on radio listnership/TV/ and online use. No political questions and none on mixed media use as we all know and love here on PW. (Listening to the radio while checking the playlist online, or watching Vincent Browne and heckling.) The media are not used discretely any more.

The company that hires Tubs gets a new contract from RTE
RYAN Tubridy has spoken of his relief at signing a new three-year contract with RTE because it offers him "job security".
In his first public comments since signing the deal, the father of two revealed he considers himself fortunate to have a job.
"In this day and age it's a relief to have some job security," Mr Tubridy said.http://www.independent.ie/entertainm...l-3277623.htmlMonths of negotiations took place between the broadcaster and RTE before they agreed the deal. But the 'Late Late Show' host said he didn't mind accepting a greatly reduced salary, estimated at €373,333. That is more than €160,000 down on what he was paid in 2008.
"I took the pay cut because I am a realist and know exactly where we are as a country, and as an organisation in particular. That's the real world. I didn't have a problem with it," he said.
