I watched it too and it was very good. Great staff, kids prospering under their care and then the cuts and threats of cuts from Marlboro St. Very demoralising.

I'm surprised that there were no questions as to how he finances himself and what he did before he went to Libya. Very basic background stuff.
I'd like to move these posts to the thread we have on his brother in law..
    Would you mind ?

Subject: Reporting the Civil War in Syria.

I wish to complain about RTE News failure to report on the Civil War in Syria in an impartial manner. Over the last 18 months of the conflict RTE News has daily interviewed representatives of the insurgents (terrorists) and has not once interviewed any representative of the Syrian Government. In effect RTE has become a broadcast arm of the terrorists in Syria which is ironic considering that RTE rigourously enforced Section 31 of The Broadcasting act in Ireland for 30 and refused to broadcast the views of Sinn Fein during that period. RTE was wrong then as is evidenced by recent polls which now show Sinn Fein as the 2nd biggest party in the State........ and RTE is wrong now ..... even Sky News is withdrawing it's support from the terrorists in as it is dawning on them that the terrorists do not represent the views of most Syrians ...... and most Syrians hate them because they kill civilians for propaganda purposes.

Ireland claims to be a neutral country and RTE has a duty to be impartial and truthful in it's reporting of these matters. RTE actions in this instance brings disgrace to the station and to the country.

Sean O'Rourke still not back presenting News at One. He seems to have been on air a lot less often this year. I wonder if he upset someone or if there's a personal reason.

And minimising his own major balls-up in the process.

Joe Duffy just stirring racist sentiment over "Turkish barbers" - an issue no callers in had mentioned.

I had a good chat with them .......... and I noticed that they carried a very benign report of Assad meeting the Red cross on this evening's Six One News. ...... ending with a very nice still Photo of him......... Let's hope they don't carry it too far.

The weekly pilgrimage to the altar of Tubridy is back tonight.

Ryan Tubridy kicks off the 51st season of the show on RTÉ One at 9.30pm. Boyle-born actor Chris O'Dowd of IT Crowd and Bridesmaids fame has tweeted that he'll talk to host Ryan Tubridy about his recent marriage and his new show, Moone Boy.

Heathers, who released their new album Kingdom today, and Mel C have confirmed their appearances on Twitter.

There's a new producer on board for the new season of The Late Late and in a recent interview with RTÉ Ten, Ryan Tubridy said that the show will be slightly tweaked but not to expect major changes.

"The theme this season will be evolution of a revolution," he said. "We're going to evolve. We're going to move it around a little bit, there'll be a slightly different feel - it's under new management, production-wise, and I think you'll certainly sense that and feel that in the first few shows.

You'd be forgiven for getting overly excited!

They've had three or four online streams each day as well.
