Actually, now that I think of it.......HEY Fluffy, I got an idea.
What say you sign up for "the treatment" ...go through the whole charade...and when the pastor pratt thinks he has you "cured" you put your best gaydar eyes on him and say something like..... "come up and see me sometime, big boy"
Now his reaction would REALLY be worth watching![]()
LOL! There was a place a few years back that did offer it in Tallaght and advertised in some rag locally and it was bombarded with letters and calls till it closed. As one cousellor has on her website

Mind you if this fella was doing it I might go just to have a goo...No. Psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals agree that homosexuality is not an illness, a mental disorder, or an emotional problem. More than 35 years of objective, well-designed scientific research has shown that homosexuality, in and itself, is not associated with mental disorders or emotional or social problems. Homosexuality was once thought to be a mental illness because mental health professionals and society had biased information.
In the past, the studies of gay, lesbian, and bisexual people involved only those in therapy, thus biasing the resulting conclusions. When researchers examined data about such people who were not in therapy, the idea that homosexuality was a mental illness was quickly found to be untrue.
Believe me the difference between a gay man and a straight man is ten pints![]()

One in four gay men may have HIV and be undiagnosed. Yesterday was World Aids Day so as ever there was a lot of internet campaigns to highlight vigilance and promote safe sex. At least STI clinics are good here with Haddington Road and James Hospital providing good services free of charge ...

After a fans' group wrote an open letter to the club demanding that they refrain from buying black and gay players, the Zenit St Petersburg head coach, Luciano Spalletti, today preached a message of tolerance and acceptance while alluding to the demand as "stupidity".
Landscrona, the largest Zenit supporters' club, had released a manifesto on Monday demanding the club field an all-white, heterosexual team. It added that "dark-skinned players are all but forced down Zenit's throat now, which only brings out a negative reaction" and said gay players were "unworthy of our great city".

CLICK DU JOUR - "Facebook's Gay Marriage Map," by All Things D's Peter Kakfa: "[A] whole lot of Facebook users changed their profile picture this week. That's the result of a very effective viral push, kicked off by the Human Rights Campaign, to show support for gay marriage as the issue came before the Supreme Court. ... On Tuesday, the day after the campaign started, an extra 2.7 million U.S. Facebook users changed their profile. That's about 120 percent more than you'd see on an average day. Other data points, via Facebook researcher Eytan Bakshy ... Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City showed lower switch rates than San Francisco and Washington D.C. Here's a map that gives you a sense of Facebook's best guess of how this broke down geographically, by county: The brighter the color, the more switchers." FACTS OF LIFE: What strikes us is the concentration of pro-gay-marriage pockets in the Mountain West, which we think of as being largely conservative/Mormon, but is increasingly libertarian - another reason the GOP electoral map is shaky.

A lot less than 10 in some cases! I had one guy once who tried to pick me up in the George when his wife wasn't looking! He was there with his wife and her gay brother. He said that any time he took an E he just 'turned gay', had just taken one and wanted to sneak off with me for a shag! I declined.
The funniest one was when a member of a GAA county team and I got involved for a few weeks. I know nothing about sports so I didn't recognise him. Then one weekend in September he said he couldn't meet me. I went home to the family and was at home reading the Sunday newspapers and watching the All-Ireland final (sort of). I nearly collapsed in shock when I recognised the winning captain picking up the cup - guess who? He had previously told me about the number of gay guys in his team. I never realised till then which team he meant! LOL (And no - he wasn't from a team in Cork!)
"Men never commit evil so fully and joyfully as when they do it for religious convictions." Blaise Pascal.
That was what I was thinking..is he from Cork
I know from experience there is two League of Ireland players not out as they fear the fans heckling them and booing them. They needent fear though as the clubs here have some great fans very open minded club staff
Years ago I used to hook up with a guy, nothing serious but after a couple of weeks he got clingy, his girlfriend didnt need to know ! (I didnt know he had a girlfriend!) . I kicked him to touch!
Rarely go to the George or the other bars though was in Panti the other night for a few pints with a mate, its the one spot I find its not pretentious and up its own arse (if you excuse the pun!)

Is gay marriage winning? It would seem so.
As this graph from Dylan Matthews shows, support in the Senate has risen at a genuinely exponential pace, rocketing from 11 supportive senators in 2011 to 50 in 2013. The flip in the country has been almost as impressive, though not quite as swift. According to the Washington Post/ABC News poll, support for gay marriage has gone from about 40 percent of the population in 2004 to almost 60 percent today.
50 senators now support gay marriage. 15 did in 2011. “Today, Mark Kirk and Tom Carper became the latest senators to endorse same-sex marriage, as members of the chamber seem to be falling over themselves to do in recent weeks…It's basically an exponential increase.” Dylan Matthews in The Washington Post.
There are only 7 Democrats left who don’t support gay marriage. And that number is likely to keep falling. “Their reasons are some combination of personal beliefs, geography and a large helping of political considerations. As they become a smaller and smaller group, however, the pressures on them from both inside and outside the Senate will grow.” Chris Cillizza in The Washington Post.
…But there are only 4 Republicans in Congress who do support gay marriage. The question is how quickly that figure will grow. “Illinois Republican Sen. Mark Kirk on Tuesday became the second Republican senator and the fourth GOP Member of Congress to support gay marriage. Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), and Rep. Richard Hanna (R-N.Y.) are the other three. Here's a closer look at each of them -- and their reasons for breaking with their party's long-held position on marriage.” Sean Sullivan in The Washington Post.
BARRO: Gay marriage hasn’t yet won, but its opponents have lost. “Opponents of gay marriage don't just want to deny equal rights to same-sex couples. They want to use that denial of rights to establish a social norm that holds out opposite-sex marriage as the right and best way to form a family. But overwhelming elite and (soon) mass opinion in favor of marriage equality have destroyed the norm-setting power of laws against same-sex marriage, even if those laws themselves prove durable.” Josh Barro in Bloomberg.
