Help needed please !
My monitor is veering from green stripes to blue dots and patches.
The problem is not the monitor, as I've tried swapping it over with another, but presumably something to do with the signal ??
Any suggestions ?

Ask the kid next door.
If it's an Add-on graphics card, re-seating the card might solve the problem.
Got some more info? Laptop or Desktop PC? Make/model of the graphics card?
I dropped out of communism class because of lousy Marx.
Desktop PC. Where would I look for the graphics card ?
To identify the graphics card, open the Device Manager and expand Display Adapters.

Check the cables at the back , this happened to me a few years back and it was a loose cable at the back
Here you see the rear of a computer with both, onboard and Add-on graphics card.
If you monitor is connected to G, the video adapter is onboard, meaning soldered chips on the mainboard, if your monitor is connected to N or O, it's an add-on card in a slot on the mainboard.

If it's an add-on card, open the case and give the card a push to make sure it's seated properly. These cards can slip out of their slot on the mainboard when the computer gets a bump.

I'd say its the censor software thats the problem. Turn that off and the world will be full of colour again.

Think National. Act Local. Oh- and superstition is just the dark matter of human history.
