Refused their War of Independence pensions,interned....went hungry in the South.
Many had to leave for The US because FF/FG blacklisted them for employment.
Hence NORAID etc....that is who many of those people were,descendent s of Republicans driven out of the FS.

So it continued through the thirties against the Blueshirts,
the Forties..seeking German arms(mistake?)
The Fifties,,internment.
The Sixties.

Many of those people and their families are still there...not SF supporters but when the crisis hits they will selfishly step forward to help the people...not for money or recognition....but for love.

McIntyre and Ed Moloney to appeal:

Two writers who interviewed paramilitaries as part of a Boston College project on the Troubles have announced they are to take a case to the US Supreme Court in a bid to keep the files confidential.

The statement came from Anthony McIntyre, a writer and former IRA prisoner, and author Ed Moloney.
