Default Gay Marriage - Should We Allow It ?

Civil partnership doesn't seem to have caused any upset.

Should these people be allowed to marry each other ? ------

What exactly are the arguments against??

I'm sure they're largely religious and I'd bet I don't agree with them.

My interpretation of St Paul on homosexuality:

St. Paul says homosexuality is a sin. Jesus and the Bible says that we are all sinners

So what exactly makes homosexuals any different from the rest of us?

What rights would gay couple acquire that they do not have under civil partnership?

Having talked to one half of one gay couple, I think a lot of it is down to the principle of the thing (which I can kind of understand from an equality point of view).

Yes, on the one condition they don't have those chocolate fountain thingies at the reception.

OK, NO chocolate banning, please. Respect the addictions of others (well, er, me).

If they acquire no additional rights it hardly seems worth focusing on to me. What about the outdated attitude to poligamy? Should overturning that not be the priority? But it never gets mentioned it seems to me.

Can't think of one single reason why not. I'm wondering why it appears to be banned in the first place.
Think National. Act Local. Oh- and superstition is just the dark matter of human history.

    Jesus would approve.

Give me a misty day, pearly gray, silver, silky faced, wide-awake crescent-shaped smile
