Time for FF to do what FG did and put the slack jawed yokel in the driving seat?

Well, this is a pretty kettle of fish.
Michael Martin seems to be struggling in leadership.
The Parliamentary Party doesn't seem at all happy with his wish not to run a candidate.
They should bring in Dana as a political advisor.
Think National. Act Local. Oh- and superstition is just the dark matter of human history.
What a load of guff.
Only the most delusional Fianna Fáiler would want to run a candid... oh hang on.
Still though all this Ó Cuív threatening etc who gives a *****
WorldbyStorm on CLR yesterday pointed out that the disgruntled older generation of FF Senators, whose noses Martin put out of joint when he pushed forward a crop of young rivals, have been lying in the long grass and have been and are now the Senators are the tail wagging the dog (the TDs).
The attitude of Senators leaving the FF meeting tonight (should be shown on the 9 o'clock news) was vituperative.

Some interesting aspects of the FF meltdown discussed here, most particularly, I think, the mention of the particularly thorough exposure of corruption in Dublin. However, that corruption touched FG as well as FF. Imo, the reason why Dublin is no longer interested in FF is FF fundamental power base (now much declined through urbanisation) was rural and small town. Once in power, FF was able to reach into other constituencies by acting as gate keeper to public resources.
Very much agree with that. FF's only philosophy that I can detect was to feed its continuance through patronage and that parish pump patronage was installed in Dublin through the Oireachtas.
FF still has a pulse however uncertain and that is in the local councillors which is why in 2014 that lowest rung of the FF ladder should be removed. Then I'll call FF finished once and for all.
Think National. Act Local. Oh- and superstition is just the dark matter of human history.
Seen that, must have a look at the comments. Bit about the PDs is interesting and the prospect of FF once again becoming a vehicle for forces that ‘had little regard for its history or traditions’. That's always been the FF I've known tbh.
Isn't that what most parties/government/parliaments are at this stage anyway?
Getting the last laugh, as we are heading straight in the direction of yet another FF President.
It could well be that people need to realise FF are not just going to disappear. Someone quite sensible (I had presumed) recently "explained to me" that FF had at least thrown us lesser mortals a few morsels from the table of plenty.
Thomas Jefferson : Banking Establishments are More Dangerous to our Liberties than Standing Armies.
That advertiser piece makes bits of O'Cuiv anyway.
