France 24 reports tonight that President Obama is about to announce the need for Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad to step down.

Its hard to see how a no-fly zone would make any real difference. The Syrians know (as to everyone else), that intervention in Libya has been such a mistake there is no way they will try the same thing in Syria. Its just too dangerous and expensive. Its all just posturing.
I wonder how much trade is currently happening with Syria.
I saw an interview with a protestor a while back who said that the only intervention they want is for Europe and the U.S. to stop doing business with Syria.
