    Default Chickengate II. Kenny hides from the Hyde.

    In the course of the last general election Enda Kenny famously chickened out of the TV3 debate because he was afraid of Vincent Browne. I seems that his elevation to the office of Taoiseach hasn't enhanced his fortitude.

    Our wonderful Taoiseach is afraid to face the people of Roscommon after he broke his word to them and presided over the closure of the A&E department in the local hospital.

    Even the Indo is openly calling Kenny a chicken over this.

    Chicken indeed, and had he gone, he was in for a right roasting.

    The Taoiseach will be spending the weekend with his children rather than attending the Connacht football final between Roscommon and his native Mayo.

    Enda Kenny had been warned that he could expect a frosty reception if he attended the match because of the bad feeling over the closure of the Emergency Department at Roscommon County hospital this week.

    However he has revealed that he will instead be visiting his children who are in the Gaeltacht, as he has not seen them for three weeks.

    The junior Minister with responsibility for tourism, and Mr. Kenny’s constituency colleague, Michael Ring says that is completely understandable.

    Quite right, we don't want a repeat of these scenes;

    His empty seat at the match will represent all those forced to emigrate.

    Not being a GAA follower I can't say for sure but I've heard rumours that sober family men have gone to matches.

    Kenny is known as a GAA supporter from a family with a very strong GAA tradition. It was expected that he would attend this match. He wont attend because he's afraid to face the people he lied to.

    He's running away. Again.

    If only there was a dressing room pic as well we could check which one had the turned coat.

    Enda is surely the one waiting for Phil Hogan to tell him when to smile.

    This is all pure rubbish again from Enda. I know certain info about the Gaeltacht setup which I'm not going to broadcast but suffice to say, if the hospital debacle had not happened til August, Enda would be in the Hyde tomorrow and not the Gaeltacht.
