    Default Notice on Candidate profiles

As you may have noticed, I've been putting up profiles of all Presidential candidates in this forum and sticking them to the top. If I have left anyone out, and if any candidates feel I have sold them short and wish me to add or omit information, please feel free to post it here or send me a private message.

Default Maidir Le: Notice on Candidate profiles

Because they're to provide background information on all the candidates which sums up their motivations etc for those who know nothing about them. Most of them already have a page on the forum, and the aim of my profiles is to give a brief overview of each of them.

They're locked as they are for info only, not discussion. There are separate threads for discussion of candidates' campaigns - and new ones can be opened whenever people like.

If anyone has useful links to add, you could pm them to Anti-e or myself and we'll add them on.

Could someone with their finger on the pulse please keep a running total of how each independent is progressing toward their Dail/Seanad/CC nominations? Also, is there a cut-off date by which they must secure these noms? Is FF taking a pass?

    I've been watching this list.

I'm sure we could put something together. Gallagher is of course FF.

The SBP is supposed to have a piece tomorrow suggesting that FF could decide to back David Norris. On the basis of 'anybody but an FGer' I suppose

I've decided that the Candidates Sticky threads are too good to keep locked, particularly now that the phoney war is pretty well over and the date of the election set, so I'm opening them all for posting. Thanks for the nudge on that, Baron.
