Newstalk have a Sunday show right now with Michael O'Regan, John Waters, Fegus O'Dowd, some woman from dragon's den and John Unionist Bruton on the phone telling people how to vote in the upcoming treaty. There's balance for you.

The Indo might regret the clumsy English in this report - There's a nice little libel lurking in it.

I should have been a lawyer of the ambulance chasing variety.

For Americans observing the interminable European debt crisis, all must seem very strange even after months of special programs, learned editorials and on-the-spot reporting from Athens.

At a fundamental level, Americans must wonder how a faltering economy in Greece (population: approximately 11 million) can cause a rupture in the entire economic foundation of the eurozone, which is supported by a population of 332 million

Haven't read up on it yet (because we did it months ago) but I take the SP are in the storm now. The Independent have kept the opposition on the front pages since the referendum finished and the government got back to work.

No excuses for what some TDs are doing but isn't it odd that Wallace's vat or lack of was the only bit of news here. Similar to St. Columbanus AG we are seeing old news that went unreported becoming a story and keeping the focus elsewhere. Happens every day but rarely are the workings so transparent.

I see no paper has picked up on Regina Doherty's company loans either,

Criticising anything a female TD does is sexist.

Interesting new journalism practices from the Indo. Put up a story about Mick Wallace but stick a photo of RBB on it just for the crack, like
