Default New LookLeft Out Now - May 2011

The new issue of LookLeft is in shops now – including Easons in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway.

This issue focuses on the failure of the Irish media in the present economic and political crisis

    Among the articles are:

‘White Noise, bleak hope’, Irish media crisis: Gavan Titley.

‘Give my Head Politics’, how the politics of the Peace Process have been handled by the Northern Media: Stephen Baker & Greg McLaughlin.

Other articles include interviews with the newly-elected ULA TD Joan Collins, band The Vagabonds and Comedian & activist Mark Thomas.

Dirty ol town done up’, an exploration of the often spotted, lesser heard world of Dublin’s Graffiti artists: Freda Hughes.

Opinions from the left including Labour’s Cian O’ Callaghan, Michael Finnegan of The Workers Party and new Socialist Party MEP for Dublin, Paul Murphy and much more over 32 pages.

    Well worth reading.

Not this time, but I'm sure there'll be something in future. Good stuff on the economy from Conor McCabe and others in this one.
