Maybe it's a Reilly thing. He mightn't have full power of action at the moment so it would be dangerous to be too precise when commenting on him or his doings.

Isn't FF uniquely unfortunate on the aesthetic front with its current Oireachtas members?

"There is the critical issue of the first hour in an emergency" says FitzGerald. 'Except for culchies' she might have added if she was of a mind to comment honestly on government policy.

Had we a referendum to guarantee that Sean Fleming would be on telly at least once a week?

Fleming wants to have his cake and eat it. He wants to spout the populist line on the top bankers pensions while not attacking the lower paid members of the pension scheme.

Costello could be Gilmore or Rabitte

No difference between any of them

Is Costello saying that we're getting rid of public servants so we'll have the money to put into bank pensions?

Banks still stealing our money and Politicians of every hue, still allow them to do so.

Argument about contracts still being made. Argument about equality of contract not being made.

Seemingly some peoples contracts are more legally binding than others.

I wonder about the legality of contracts when a company is nationalised because of the insolvency of said company. This is surely governed by the same laws that apply to liquidation in the event of insolvency.

Not only do I have a problem with the legality of paying pensions to failed bankers, I also have a problem with the fact that they were paid bonuses for profits the banks never made.

In fact they were paid bonuses, despite the fact that the banks made the biggest losses in banking history.

Not only have they no entitlement to pensions, they should be made repay the fraudulent bonuses they were paid.

Accuracy isn't too much of a priority in this clip it seems. There wasn't citizen involvement in the design of the current constitution. De Valera controlled it very tightly and the work was done by a tiny committee of senior civil servants.
