Is it government policy to influence newspaper editors?
    The Chatham House rule:
he Chatham House Rule originated at Chatham House with the aim of providing anonymity to speakers and to encourage openness and the sharing of information. It is now used throughout the world as an aid to free discussion. Meetings do not have to take place at Chatham House, or be organized by Chatham House, to be held under the Rule

That ST Mary Harney story is about her directorship of a company called Euro Insurance "owned by a company in which her husband is involved"

What an absolute rag the SINDO is for printing complete and utter rubbish like this. Time and time again the paper has disgraced itself.

John Burns in the ST says that RTE have a two part documentary exploring the story of the Labour Party.
He doesn't say when its due to be broadcast.

Default Maidir Le: What's in the Sunday Papers ?

Phoenix has a good yarn this week about Labour having to scale down celebrating the centenary in Clonmel for fear of the WUAG showing them up.

    Hope it's true

It is true that WUAG planned a protest.

If Enda wasn't so yella he might take exception to this article http://www.independent.ie/opinion/co...n-3119592.html

Enda the Bondholders' Friend smiles for yet another photo opportunity, and runs away from yet another debate. And Mr Gilmore tells us about staying at the heart of Europe. And he does so in exactly the same belligerent tone of voice he used when he warned us against Frankfurt's Way.
Whatever the question, Enda is used to responding with packaged remarks, speeches, soundbites. Which is why he must avoid any circumstances in which he can't hide behind advisers, spin doctors, scripts and briefing papers.

His underlings know the truth. And they know that we know the truth. The truth is a thing with feathers. Enda is chicken.
What happens, some wonder, when Enda Kenny is behind closed doors, with EU leaders, without his props? What happens at those meetings where the future of our children is decided?

Well, we know what happens. We've seen him treated in public, by Nicolas Sarkozy, as something of a fondly-regarded puppy.
