North Down is a Maverick and always has been.

Current MP is the dissident UU Sylvia Hermon but it has thrown up oddities for years. Alliance have a seat here and will retain it. It also has the only Green MLA but he is not standing and his replacement didn't exactly impress with his economic knowledge during the Westminster campaign.

Huge 'others' vote here of over 8,000 and very difficult to say where those votes will go without a full list of candidates.

One thing is certain, there is no Nationalist seat here.

Rumours are that the UUP vote has collapsed to about 10% with the DUP looking like picking up a 3rd.

Single Green seat under threat too.

North Down never was and still isn't like any other constituency. Ex-UUP Independent Sylvia Hermon is the incumbent and is likely to stay as such. She's popular with many strains of Unionism including those on the Golden Mile.
