    Default South Down Constituency

    Electorate: 71,704
    Turnout: 46,623
    Total Valid Poll: 46,110
    Quota: 6,588

Caitriona Ruane (SF) 6334 Votes (13.7%)
Margaret Ritchie (SDLP) 5838 Votes (12.7%)
    P.J. Bradley (SDLP) 5652 Votes (12.3%)
Jim Wells (DUP) 5542 Votes (12.0%)
Willie Clarke (SF) 5138 Votes (11.1%)
John McCallister (UUP) 4447 Votes (9.6%)

Home of SDLP leader Margaret Ritchie. This could be an interesting one to watch in terms of SF/SDLP.
The debacle in Education made by Caitriona Ruane and a Unionist vote given to the SDLP to keep SF out, ensured that Margaret Ritchie topped the Westminster Poll in 2010.
SF could gain if they loose Caitriona Ruane, and also the DUP may gain from the UUP, as voters turn to them to keep SF out

There has been talk of ending double jobbing, but Margaret it runing in the Assembly Elections, she claims she will only take one paycheck, allegedly for fear of being called 'from Mags to Riches'

Despite falling off a ladder taking his posters down last night and breaking his collar bone, the DUP's Jim Wells looks like comfortably holding on to his seat.

Same can't be said for UU Deputy leader John McAllister who is 3/400 behind third SDLP with 2/3rds of the votes counted.

    Candidates for 2015

    Conservative
    Felicity Buchan

    Sinn Féin
    Chris Hazzard

    UUP
    Harold McKee

    UKIP
    Henry Reilly

    SDLP
    Margaret Ritchie

    Alliance Party
    Martyn Todd

    DUP
    Jim Wells

SDLP should hold on here from SF but the gap will be the key for the future. Any hope from the DUP that a Nationalist split might allow Jim Wells in have been well and truly scuppered by his crazy remarks. How delightful for Henry Reilly of UKIP to not, for once, be the most ridiculous bigot on the ballot.
