Sinn Fein maintained their three seats, despite Davy Hyland leaving SF and running as an independant. He polled 2188 Votes. Davy is running again this year as an Independant, in the local Council Elections
Paul Berry the DUP incumbent was suspended from the party, after a picture of him meeting a gay masseur appeared in a Newspaper.

Westminster 2010 election results would predict that there will be little change in this Constituency

Why was he suspended? Is meeting gay masseurs against party rules?
Do not rejoice in his defeat, you men. For though the world has stood up and stopped the bastard, the (female dog) that bore him is in heat again. Bertolt Brecht

I interviewed Dominic Bradley from the SDLP on "Ar Muin na Muice" on NearFM last week. We talked about the upcoming election next month, the murder of Ronan Kerr and the campaign for an Acht na Gaeilge for Northern Ireland.

Screwed up a bit there with the vote management. He better hope he gets a good share of Murphy's surplus.

    Final Result

    Conor Murphy SF Count 1
    Danny Kennedy UUP Count 1
    Dominic Bradley SDLP Count 1
    Cathal Boylan SF Count 2
    William Irwin DUP Count 3
    Mickey Brady SF Count 6

Exactly as before, same 6 MLAs albeit elected in slightly different order. SDLP vote held up well and the 2 Unionists got in comfortably.

Driving through Armagh the SF election posters there were for Boylan 1, Brady 2, and Murphy 3
Micky Brady would have no profile in Armagh so I reckon that voters there went for Murphy as their number 2
Which might explain the low vote for Brady

New Sinn Féin candidate this time but despite Unionist pact, Brady should walk it.
