What sort of mind set is Kenny in? He doesn't see the Waterford special needs child as his responsibility. He says "this house" instead of "this government" in the so-called apology.

For a moment I though that was a reference to John Halligan...

The whole argument's a bit stupid tbh. Technically an Independent could get elected with 79 votes, including his/her own but if you can name an independent who could get more than 5-6 votes, by all means show up how stupid FF were.

It might take a promotion (and more money and another pension) to get rid of Enda

There was mounting speculation last night that Taoiseach Enda Kenny could be dramatically appointed as the president of the European Council after he steps down as leader of Fine Gael.

Senior EU sources told the Sunday Independent that the current president, Donald Tusk, may not stay for another term after he failed to get the backing of his home country, Poland, for a second stint in the office.

    Jumping after he was pushed

Tributes are being paid to Taoiseach Enda Kenny after he confirmed he will stand aside as Fine Gael leader from midnight.

Minister for Social Protection Leo Varadkar praised Mr Kenny for his leadership, insisting he has learned a lot from him.

“Enda’s legacy will be far-reaching,” said Mr Varadkar.

Leo Thatcher or Colour Me Simon the empty suit. What a non choice. If you are poor Simon may be slightly better. More malleable , no real principles but then no crazy right wing ideology either really.

    Noonan too

MICHAEL NOONAN HAS announced that he does not want to carry on as Finance Minister when a successor to Enda Kenny is appointed.

He said: “It has been a privilege to represent the people of Limerick since I was first elected in 1981 and I look forward to continuing to do so until an election is called.

The big difference here is Varadkar really hates the poor with a passion.

Coveney has not got that fiery loathing of the poor in him. He even shook hands with Info wars stalkers before. He was visibly Human standing next to that other subhuman slug Sutherland. Somehow they have shaped him into an ideal patsy.

No major policy differences except Varadkar would be much much worse imo.

Obviously that vicious amoral subhuman slug Noonan was in line for the sack too. He has been the cruelest and vilest of the lot imo.

As of now (Friday 19th afternoon) Varadakar is wiping the floor with Coveney.

He will need overwhelming support from the grassroots if he is still to have any chance.
