Joe Costello spoofing the figures on national debt and Tony Foley stepping in to correct him.![]()
there's something wrong with her nose.
"Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, misdiagnosing it, and then misapplying the wrong remedies.”
"even workingclass people don't like paying taxes"
wtf does that even mean?
Is it just me or is there an air of hopelessness about this programme? The sums don't add up and the country's finances are completely insustainable. Meanwhile the panel waste time arguing about a tax that's supposed to raise 150 million euro.
The most telling moment of the night was when Costello said that there had been 20 billion of adjustments since 2008. 'And what have we got to show for it?' asked Vincent.

Woeful from Barret again.
Why are they always so week on figures and arguments
Costello's spin on the last non-payment campaign is well-rehearsed. I've heard the exact same from FF and Lab local moles at public meetings against the tax, of course being very discreet about their affiliations until challenged. I'd like to meet these multitudes of householders bilked by dem' evil lefties someday. Haven't met any of 'em yet curiously...
"It is we the workers who built these palaces and cities here in Spain and in America and everywhere. We, the workers, can build others to take their place. And better ones! We are not in the least afraid of ruins. We are going to inherit the earth; there is not the slightest doubt about that. The bourgeoisie might blast and ruin its own world before it leaves the stage of history. We carry a new world here, in our hearts."

One ..... 1 of Quinn's property aquisitions, if I heard right today, was valued at 160 million.
It is quite impossible. The deficit is worse this year than last year, and it will, even on the most insanely optimistic projections, carry on getting worse for another five years. Everyone in the "markets" must know this: it is just being long fingered in the vain hopes that something can be stitched up for Spain and Italy, after which they would put Greece, Ireland, Portugal etc. in the shredder.
Bruton's initiative to create thousands of jobs...![]()
I dropped out of communism class because of lousy Marx.
He'd let a rightwing trappist monk speak all over him, when he's on the authorised establishment pulpit he craves. No wonder the MSM go to him when 'articulate, cultured' lefties are required ('so much better than that Collins creature').
Funny though, he goes all Costello over other speakers when on left platforms. The lad knows his place, and it's well ahead of the likes of you or me, but behind his Establishment 'betthers'.
