It's beginning to look like that - they may at this stage want to burn the boats and let the incoming Government do the dirty work. However, given the current run on the banks and Central Bank "liquidity" printing, failure to pass a budget may bring the system to a juddering halt.

    Gogartys latest tweet:

Green PP meeting now re proposed job for boys appointments. Expect collective decision soon. Then it's up to Taoiseach to see sense or go.

The usual Eunuch Party* responses, twittered, farted and otherwise allowed to wander around the media basically unchallenged. They are 'unhappy' again. But they'll go and stand in the corner like the FF renters they are once again.

Collective decision ... these people really are Sandalista fascists aren't they? They speak as if they were the Borg.

More rubbish from the Greens, Gogarty has come out against college fee hikes and all manner of nasty FF policies in the last few years on Twitter, and has still gone back in and voted for them as asked. Paul, if you're reading this, it's time for you and your colleagues to pull the plug, FF won't give you anything as the Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture proved, so why hang around? Show your integrity and let us have our say.

They have been deliberately lying to the electorate for years in the same way that Lenihan lied to the FF Parliamentary Party.

It'll be interesting to see now that their toy has been taken off them and put on a legislative shelf out of their reach (Climate Change) whether they'll finally start screeching for real.

Dáil in uproar - Cowen not present opposition demanding he attend. many demadning sitting be suspended until he comes to the chamber.

Coughlan trying to spin that no-one has yet resigned (pres has not yet recieved reccommendation from Cowen). Then refuses to say who currently has the powers of the Minister for Justice (apparently under consttution, the minister's powers are transferred to another member whenever he's incapacitated or out of the State.)

Farce, uproar, CC having an aneurysm, suspendeds sitting till 11.23.

Is it possible this could trigger government collapse?? Backbenchers don't want to be dragged into cabinet right now as it's tantamount to political suicide, could they walk and force an election by refusing to accept promotion?

Maybe Cowen can't come back to the Dail because he can't find anybody who is willing to take the Ministerial posts. That would be AWESOME!!!
