Possibly. That would still leave you with a job of work. He had a very scientific approach and was highly regarded in football circles internationally.

Too much long ball for me, however.

Serves you right. You should have supported a LOI team.

Absolutely right, should really remember that as all the Leeds loonies in our house were probably still crying but in my defence, I was only 5 or 6.

Took us over 20 years to avenge that only to discover Grobbelar had thrown the ball into his own net 3 times.

I do. Athlone Town. And I have regularly attended over the years.

I support a team in every country whose leagues I watch.

No worries. I dont mind people following a team in another country but it is annoying when they wont follow a team in their own country.

How about this you bunch of permy, moustached, car robbing, pizza eating scouse tramps, I hope Andy Carroll's thigh injury turns out to be rickets.

Which coincidentally, is probably who we'll buy to replace him. (That's if Dave Beasant isn't availible)

Did I mention you were tramps?

*looks for alcohol, a cudgel and the first chirpy, Anfield Scumball I can find*

(Does that come over a tad bitter?)

I think the Pool may have done quite nicely out of all this.

Torres is not the player he was, and if he's making noises about going, well all you can do is get a price for him.

Still hope Kenny gets them nowhere though

About 15-20 million to the good, I'd expect Carrolls wages to be less also.

Torres is starting to play decent football again, but Carrolls been on fire all season.

All in all, good move by Liverpool considering Torres put in a transfer request.

Although, if they paid 35m for Carrol, it's a hell of a gamble.

Same with Chelsea paying 50+ for Torres.

Liverpool get Carroll and Anelka from what I've read, plus a few quid in the bank.

And lets face it, they cant do much worse than they have been doing this season.

Didn't know they got Le Sulk again.
Interesting. Carrol isn't altogether unlike Drogba.
Suarez is also talented, although untried in England.

Jaysus, they could make it work yet.

    Hadn't heard about Suarez.

Liverpool go from 1 striker to 3. Can only get better.

Just for the record, I don't support any english team but it's a top league.
