'73, Five? From memory (and no other source) I believe 73 saw Bob Stokoe run across Wembley at the final whistle to celebrate the Sunderland win over Leeds United, a win celebrated by EVERYBODY who loved football and hated Leeds.

About 15-20 million to the good, I'd expect Carrolls wages to be less also.

Torres is starting to play decent football again, but Carrolls been on fire all season.

All in all, good move by Liverpool considering Torres put in a transfer request.

Interesting. Carrol isn't altogether unlike Drogba.
Suarez is also talented, although untried in England.
