The UK Indy reminds us that back in the 1970s, a 5% shortfall was enough to cause a 400% price rise... and we don't have enough alternative energy infrastructure. They're predicting shortages within 4 and a half years.

Meanwhile, on the H20 front, the Vartry reservoir tunnel collapse could leave 150,000 households without water with no warning, should it collapse. For years, apparently.

So you believe that peak oil is a myth ..... but that there is a water shortage in the world? That is truly bizarre ... even by Youngdan standards.

Looks to be plenty of water in ireland last year. no shortage of water here either, except for due to global warming it has turned to snow.

Well don't worry about the oil anyway as I made it back safely. there is no shortage and it is dirt cheap. The Irish choose to pay 10 dollars a gallon of their own free will. They voted and will vote for socialism every time. They are deluded and that is their problem

'twould be interesting to know if the North Dakota field you posted up is counted in anyone's "proven reserves" yet? Or is it still, like Ireland's fabled offshore resources, merely speculative??

That's the price you pay for supporting a global economy.

Global economy should read as global monopolies, with the wealthy buying up all our natural resources and then demanding extortionate prices.

If you buy products that are made in third world sweatshops or choose to support multinational companies over national companies then you only have yourself to blame.
