Default The issues I'm raising with any election candidates who call.

I've got string of local issues I'll be bringing up including

    • the lack of gritting on the roads around my area.
    • the state of the Local school, which still has prefabs depite being promised a new building some years ago
    • the traffic lights/pedestrian crossing at the junction to our estate that never seem to work properly
    • the general state of the roads in the area
    • the lack of a secure play space for children

To anyone who promises to "look into" any of these issues for me, my response will be," Sorry, but you don't appear to be a credible candidate to pass complex legislation in our national parliament, and I won't be voting for you."

I suggest others do the same!

I am going to print the following lines from the proclamation off and post them on my front door:

"The Republic guarantees religious and civil liberty, equal rights and equal opportunities to all its citizens, and declares its resolve to pursue the happiness and prosperity of the of the whole nation and of all its parts, cherishing all the children of the nation equally"

When anybody calls I am going to ask them how they plan to achieve this noble goal as it appears to have been on the back burner for 95 year.

    Two questions:

    1. Will you be bound by any agreement between current government and the IMF?

    2. Are you prepared to dismantle the broken Irish banks and seize any assets and funds left, to help recover the losses inflicted upon the Irish people?

Whatever you ask these people, have a video camera handy and record their answers. If they don't give their consent to have their answers published, tell 'em to sod off ... and publish their names on a list of candidates unwilling to go on record instead.

Very good point! Lost in the mists of time I'd say.

What do you mean by "the Local School"? Do you mean "the Catholic school in your locality"? If so, I am glad that you are interested in ensuring that my co-religionists in Eire get fair play in educational matters.

Stick to the topic. What you are doing is very close to trolling.
