Default Alleged Cover up of paedophile ring in Scotland

    http://www.paltelegraph.com/columnis...f-hollie-greig

"It was back in 2000 when Hollie told her mum something very disturbing that any mother dreads to hear - that she had been repeatedly sexually abused by her father, Denis Charles Mackie and by her brother Greg. This abuse stemmed back to when Hollie was six years old, Hollie also told her mum that her brother Greg had also been abused by his father.

As one would expect Anne immediately reported the incident to the Grampian Police in Aberdeen and it was then that things started to go so terribly wrong. Over a period of time Hollie started to recall the names of those that had abused her. Anne eventually learnt that her husband Denis had offered his daughter to an extended ring of pedophiles. One can imagine the terrible abuse, psychological pain and humiliation that Hollie endured during this period and the terrible pain that mum also endured.

It became a further shock when Anne learnt that this ring of pedophiles included a serving police officer with the Grampian Police named Terry Major and a very high profile gentleman called Graeme Buchanan who happened to be the Aberdeen Sheriff (his picture is on the last page of this article)

After some in depth investigations by medical staff and the Grampian Police Hollie's account was fully accepted as being authentic but that's as far as the case went and everything was very carefully swept under the carpet. One of the main players in this deplorable case was that of Elish Frances Angiolini QC, a Scottish lawyer who has served in the political role of Lord Advocate in Scotland since 2006. Her bio reads that she was appointed to the post of Solicitor General for Scotland in November 2001 becoming the first woman, the first Procurator Fiscal, and the first solicitor to hold that post. This lady prevented any action being taken by the police or should I say against the police and the Sheriff and consequently allowed the main offend, Denis Charles Mackie (Hollie's father as shown on the following page) to escape the country and settle in Portugal.

The story does not stop there because the authorities started a campaign to discredit and intimidate Anne by having her forcibly taken to a mental institution in the hope of taking Hollie from her and handing her back to her evil father. Anne remained strong and managed to have herself checked over by a leading psychiatrist who then certified her as being perfectly sane. This brave woman stood up to these bullying tactics and consequently forced them to accept the findings of the psychiatrist.

Private Investigators into Hollies situation have since revealed the presence of other pedophile rings in Scotland and it became clear that senior authority figures in Scotland are prepared to obstruct the course of justice and allow the sexual abuse of such venerable members of our society to continue unchecked in order to save their own necks."

Journalist arrest in Hollie Greig abuse scandal speeds up MacAskill’s plans for anti-stalker law as officials admit possibility of use against media
Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill. Officials have admitted that plans to bring in Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill. Officials have admitted that plans to bring in an ‘anti-stalker’ law in Scotland were greatly speeded up after the arrest of journalist Robert Green, who had travelled to Aberdeen to publicise the plight of downs syndrome girl Hollie Greig, who is alleged to have been raped by members of a paedophile gang in the Aberdeen area, identified by Ms Greig to contain members of Scotland’s legal establishment. So far the Crown Office have refused to prosecute anyone in the case, although Ms Greig has received a hefty payout from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, which many now view as 'hush money'.

It transpired during the journalist's arrest that one Sheriff took out an interdict against journalist Mr Green, by using the same firm of lawyers, Glasgow based Levy McRae, who also happen to represent the Lord Advocate, also caught up in reports of Ms Greig’s allegations.

The amendment to the Criminal Licensing Bill, currently going through the Scottish parliament, was proposed by Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill and will make it an offence to stalk a person by sending threatening e-mails, text messages or phone calls, or persistently following, pursuing or spying on them. A jail sentence should be expected if convicted under the law, according to some involved.

Police could only arrest journalist on breach of the peace, after plan to use interdict didn’t stack up. Up until the arrest of Mr Green, on February 12, the anti-stalker proposals were reportedly still in the discussion phase, however after the blaze of publicity surrounding Mr Green’s arrest, and the sizeable internet campaign which now exists to publicise Hollie Greig’s case, and Mr Green’s arrest.

There is a letter that appears to be from Hollie Greig in response to Old Holborn's blog on this.

There are also reports quoted from the British Press on other cases of alleged paedophilia that collapsed because the Sheriff said they had not been brought early enough (3 years).

The idea of paedophilia rings seems to grip the British imagination and there have been some cases over the years in which public hysteria has been whipped up by the press over non-existent rings. in this case, the Press seem very reluctant to report at all.

I can't understand how a "Criminal Injuries Compensation Board" can pay out when there hasn't been a trial.

I still am amazed how little has been said about the five convictions for paedophilia of men who taught in one National School in Ireland over a 30 year period. The Gardai have said that this was not a ring. The amount of damage and pain caused is hard to imagine.

The Murphy Report details the cases of 46 priests guilty of abuse as a representative sample of 102 priests within its remit. One priest admitted abusing more than 100 children. Another said he had committed abuse every two weeks for more than 25 years. The Report highlights the case of a Father Carney and Father McCarthy who it claims in one case both abused the same child. The abuse by Carney often occurred at swimming pools, sometimes when he was accompanied by another priest. But the report concludes that there was no evidence of an organised paedophile ring in the Dublin archdiocese, although it says there were worrying connections.

Is there a difference between a paedophile ring and an organised paedophile ring ?
