    Default Silence of the Lambs

The silence in the Country is incredible. People are almost whispering about topics like IMF and ECB. A fear has decended on the country as we avidly read what happened to places like Latvia where Riga is now fill with closed shops and an abundance of beggars, this was considered a success for the IMF.
People are fearful to talk about their jobs in case someone will rush in and snatch it away.
How will we survive Christmas, what about the presents, spoken quietly in case they are scorned with "There is more to think about than bloody Christmas."
The internet news is a magnet as if it will suddenly announce your fate, hours are spent watching it. The people who cannot grasp what is going are asking more senior people, "What is happening or What do you think will happen?
Fear is the order of the day.
The Opposition have retreated into their Bunkers and blocked the outsite from having access to them.
ICTU and individual Union Leaders are silent.
Is there a Bailout, is the IMF coming in to slash and burn? Will Germany own us if the ECB Bail us out?
Should I take my money out of Irish Banks?
Are Lenihan and Cowen lying to us about what is happening? What is happening?

So many Questions, so few Answers, so much Fear? A Nation caught like a Rabbit in the Lights of a Truck.

So, a bad system is in collapse. It's a time for studying it and for action. There's plenty of potential for change because the "powers that be" have no more clue what to do than anyone else.

Time to stop navel gazing, get stuck in to the community organisation, the Union, the political party and get active.

I thought the thread title referred to the Greens.

    Where are the Greens?

Does anyone think FF are even consulting them?

I think we all know the answer to that one...

The Greens are very hard to spot but I assure you they are present in this series of pictures:

As things stand now I think the Greens have been (almost) fully assimilated into the Fianna Fail collective.

Are FF being consulted on the ECB/IMF/DoF plans?

Dan Boyle having tweeted last week that he'd 'met with' Olli Rehn I have no cause to doubt him.
