Maybe he can cure obesity or something. However, he Did spend 2 terms in jail for IRA activity. Then went to Middle East to lecture on The Peace Process in Ireland.
I wonder has anyone told them about the disident activity that has suddenly grown.

There's some cheek saying that looking at our dictatorship here. There is virtually no choice and the people have virtually no input in to policy. The markets dictate what economic policy they want and we just ratify whatever decisions government adopt.

Meanwhile opposition is silenced (see: the Dail the week of the bank reports), elections are not held (see: outstanding by-elections) as well as the agenda setting propaganda machine that is RTE not to mention the papers that repeat what the business establishment want to hear.
