GREENWICH -- An Irish socialite at odds with her Belle Haven neighbors over a home remodeling project has sued the lawyer whose name is listed on the property's deed, and whom she hired to help navigate her through the immigration process.
In an eight-page lawsuit filed on Dec. 19 in New York State Supreme Court,
Gayle Killilea Dunne accused Philip Teplen of stiffing her out of $500,000 -- money she claims was set aside for a potential real estate investment in Chicago that she never made.
Gayle Dunne, who is the wife of Sean Dunne, who once fancied himself as the
Donald Trump of Ireland, says that she wired the money into escrow account under Teplen's control.
Despite multiple attempts seeking the return of the funds, Dunne, 36, says she was unsuccessful and that Teplen told her that the money was being applied to her visa application.
