The Edmonton Journal is reporting serious flooding in southern Alberta and BC, while the BBC is reporting serious flooding and deaths in the southern Japanese island of Kyushu. Russia last week. Is the whole northern half of the northern hemisphere being drowned???

Eh, RTE weather forecast talking about sunshine and temps up to 'possibly even 23 or 24 degrees' for the rest of the week.
    Surely some mistake

Touching 47C here. Want some? it's just too hot to do anything. The dog hasn't jawned once today, to tiring. One of the grandchildren keeps prodding her every half hour or so to see if she's still alive. Even the kids are complaining that the water is too warm, not nice to swim in...They keep promising us a little northerly breeze, but it has yet to materialize

This has been the best day for weeks! I doubt the temp touched 80F but its been sunny with just the right breeze to walk to and from town in comfort.

I only envy you some of the time but I feel very sorry for your dog. Poor thing has no real way to cool down!

26 degrees, sunny, dry. Nothing really to complain about. Set to last until early next week. Nice weekend in store so may head to Tessin, where it will doubtless be a little warmer.

The breeze has arrived!!! Down to a comfortable 39C with the most beautiful cooling breeze. Excellent. We will have lots of fried tourists later though, this is the dangerous bit of hot weather. They get fooled by the wind, and by the time they feel the sting of the sun, they are thouroughly fried.

Spent the day in Gumpistan where every exposed bit of flesh burned off my body.

We could do with an ould shower now to cool things down.
