    Default 'Who is Merit when she's around?' On the need for gender quotas.

    Am honoured today to be the first guest poster on the amazing and increasingly popular AntiRoom blog. Was prompted a week or so ago to write something having seen a shockingly sexist article by John Drennan in the Indo about Olwyn Enright's imminent departure from politics. There's been a lot of discussion about gender quotas in recent weeks - so here are my thoughts for what they are worth - and I'm all in favour of gender quotas btw. So there:
