Default The Happy Planet Index - Happy to Pollute ?

A great set of interactive maps. Life expectancy is probably the most meaningful way of judging wellbeing -

It seems to show that the more we pollute the happier we are.

Zambia at 40.5 was the lowest I could find.
Switzerland at 81.3 is the highest.
Ireland at 79.8 is not too far behind. (I had a much lower figure in my head, I have to say. 72 - 73 years)

Life expectancy has increased in Ireland in the last ten years. In the 80s it was among the lowest in Europe.
