Default European Left Party splits over SYRIZA

Given the lack of left media here outside sects with their own peculiar agendas please excuse the fact that all the links are in German from the Left party aligned daily (The articles can be accessed by clicking on the links to the left , google translate does a fairly good job)

The European Left party (the core of the Euro-left in the Euro parl GUE-NGL) has split over SYRIZA . A new formation of the Nordic Green Left + FI (France), Podemos and BE (Portugal) is being formed
'..Melenchon's new founding, »La France Insoumise«, the Spanish Left Party Podemos and the Portuguese Bloco de Esquerda in April demanded in their »Lisbon Declaration« nothing less than »a democratic revolution in Europe« and called for the »straitjacket of the European Treaties «. Leaving the EU treaties is also the core of the Plan B project, which is supported by all three parties. In June, the Danish Red-Green Alliance, the Swedish Vänsterpartiet and the Finnish Linksbund joined the trio as further partners...'

And the German Left party aligned outlet worries about JLM 's ego . Well they have their own too but not as bad maybe
'..To sell this as a departure is likely to be difficult. Because the line between concern for the future of the left and political Egotrip is here very, very narrow...'

The latest gossip, given the current dire situation across Europe you have to hope they have got it right

The close to French main communist party (PCF, part of European Left party) Humanitie has ignored this, except to say PCF is still part (they have enough problems surviving and reliant on alliances with Melenchon's France Insoumise)

I had forgotten, it's been a while, but the best place for French 'hard left' (as opposed to 'far left') gossip is here . There is still some debate going on, Cant decide whether they're hard core poseurs in the main or are talking sense (maybe in between?). Complaining about the continuing scraps between PCF and Insoumise is a theme. The Euroleft split discussed, etc . The site is loosely affilaited with the old 'independent left' of the Left Front (former PCF who dallied with NPA years back, etc) who latterly joined Insoumise and see Melenchon as a 'necessary evil' not liking him that much and so on http://www.regards.fr/politique
A related site would be https://www.ensemble-fdg.org/ (coalition of splinter parties now with feet in Insoumise)
