Default Marxist/Socialist Periodicals worth subscribing to.

    As per title.

Quite enjoy Jacobin myself. Was subscribed to the journal New Left Review, and while it has moments of interest I didn't find it much worth my while. I always get the CPI's paper "Socialist Voice" which is frequently interesting.

A friend suggested subscribing to the "Weekly Worker".

What do you read or subscribe to?

Strong emphasis on India. And I wouldn't agree with some current positions (Syria for example). Also it's not updated that regularly. But there are no end of interesting and informative articles in the back issues. And the archival material is a treasure.

Apart from that I don't really read anything. I used to read counterpunch regularly but over time found it generally too trite to wast time on.

The position on Syria is inscrutible (perhaps I mean incomprehensible). On the one hand, it would be great if Assad as overthrown, and on the other, to suggest such a thing would be devationist, and Trotskyist, and the people of Syria stand with Assad.

On Syria, they have their knickers in a twist.

Many thanks for that, it indeed looks to be a fascinating trove.
