You're deflecting! Again......
Saudi has the decreasing capacity to influence, but not determine, the price of oil.
But that's a diversion and not the issue you raised. You said the US wanted to prevent Saudi from selling oil to China and Russia.
Whatever about China, Russia is in no position to buy Saudi oil whether at market price, or at discount to hold in the hope of selling at a higher price later. Depending on who is counting Russia (pop 144M, and soon to be overtaken by Mexico), is currently the 11th, 12th, or 13th, largest economy in the world, on par with South Korea (pop 51M).. Russia is in no position to corner the market on oil. If it weren't for its own oil, Russia would be long gone the way of Venezuela.

Trump continues to question CIA conclusion that Saudi crown prince was responsible for Khashoggi's death The statement from President Trump came after he said he would be receiving a full report on the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul last month and after The Washington Post reported that the CIA had assessed with high confidence that Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman ordered Khashoggi’s death.
“King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman vigorously deny any knowledge of the planning or execution of the murder of Mr. Khashoggi. Our intelligence agencies continue to assess all information, but it could very well be that the Crown Prince had knowledge of this tragic event — maybe he did and maybe he didn’t!” the statement read.
In the eight-paragraph statement, the president lauded Saudi Arabia’s economic ties with the United States and emphasized the country’s opposition to Iran.Read more »

Still supporting the Yemen war together though ? Do you think that Trump minds one way or another about this murder ? He has been clear in interactions with the public and journalists that really it doesn't matter - US trade and foreign interests is all that matters.

Trump cares only to the extent that the issue is an annoyance to him.
There are noises being made in Congress from some surprising R quarters about disengaging the US further from assisting Saudi in Yemen. Remains to be seen if it gets traction.
Trump gets credit for refreshingly telling it like it is, (sometimes, when he's not lying), where others would couch their words in diplo speak.
A local vote will be taken in DC tomorrow to advance plans to rename the block where the Saudi Embassy is located, to Jamal Khashoggi Way. Similar was done for a Russian dissident.

The vote was driven largely by anger on both sides at the failure by CIA director Gina Haspel, (the person who knows most about the events, she's listened to tapes and watched video), to show for the hearing. Speculation is that the WH told her to stay away.
The Senate voted to move forward with a bill that would end United States support for the Saudi-backed war in Yemen in retaliation to Saudi involvement in the murder of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi. In a closed-door briefing earlier in the day, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defense Secretary James Mattis had asked senators not to pass the bill.
