All is quiet on the Amphipolis front, however, today news is beginning to trickle through of another major find, this time near the village of Xirokambi close to Sparta. The local archeaologists have unearthed an ancient Mycenaean palac, preliminary tests have dated the find around 16000 - 17000 BC. So far a number of artifacts have been found indicating a well organised society. Included in the find are writings in Linear B, the oldest language known in Europe.
