    That's a powerful speech from Iglesias.
    What news of the deals on forming a government?

    The topics covered are on the nail and worth more examination.

    Podemos has introduced the term of “cast” replacing the Marxist term of bourgeoisie, or that of dominant class. The same applies to the concept of working class and the scientific definition of exploitation. Instead these concepts are replaced by a blur of considerations regarding corruption and unfair distribution

    More gossip at the Spanish election thread http://www.politicalworld.org/showth...5#.Vn0cORWLTIU
    but learn Spanish if you're really curious
    The main Spanish left paper by looks (it went online only some time ago) http://www.publico.es/ google translate does the headlines ok-ish but hard to get the meaning of most of it . has the latest statements from PODEMOS and the old left IU (and regional parties like Catalan CUP etc) along with lots of confusing opinion and analysis from various viewpoints

    Involved analysis of the general election by Íñigo Errejón (PODEMOS general secretary) which is still beyond me on a 2nd skim entitled ;
    'Into the Breach: strategic notes after general elections'
    -I expect it covers their big turnaround in Catalonia and the even more amazing success in the Basque Country which was well astonishing to me(they came 1st without the need for a broader front taking a huge slice of the nat left and PSOE votes by looks )
    . Whether it lasts is another question altogether http://blogs.publico.es/dominiopubli...nes-generales/

    Podemos Pablo Iglesias's 'middle left' slate has won the internal elections decisively is the gossip from a French site (associated with the Left Front 'Independents' Ensemble) http://www.regards.fr/web/article/le...pablo-iglesias

    Pre-Congress analysis from an Irish Podemos member who gave a briefing at a Joan Collins/I4C meeting last year . There's another on the site which I find somewhat hectoring favoring the 'anticapitalitas' who came third, but Eoghan's sticks to explaining the difference between the 'Pablositas'/middle left and Errejonistas (young Social Democrats?) https://www.jacobinmag.com/2017/02/p...establishment/

    A major split has finally occurred with former No2 Errejon (and his apparently considerable admirers representing a sort of populist social democratic right) going his separate way
    Left populist friendly analysis in French https://lvsl.fr/podemos-devant-labime-de-la-defaite
    And another which would favour the Iglesias side (coincidentally he is credited with the Yellow Vests article in Spanish Publico I shared on that thread) Errejon is (by implication) condemned by association as a Macroniste, but I think it is of course complicated and a lot to do with ego sadly

    There hasnt been a collapse in the polls though thankfully (I get the impression of much confusion though) . Podemos has for a long time operated with wide coalitions anyway . The major poll drop happened before this (back in 2017) is what seems significant https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinio...neral_election

    And today's Irish Times analysis is also inconclusive but seemingly sharp enough https://www.irishtimes.com/news/worl...hday-1.3798309
