OT, but you have just reminded me of one of the saddest photographs in history... the once feared and respected Apache chieftain Geronimo (with the cylinder hat) driving a car at a farming show (they used to exhibit him on such shows and fairs, later a certain Prescott Bush, member of the Yale secret society of Skull and Bones, was accused to have stolen Geronimo's skull from the grave)..

Funny you should mention that- I had the image in my mind of a native american posing for a photo while wearing a bowler hat. but that one is bang on the money. The whole digression really is prompted by the subject of a common little chiseller like that counsellor having his 'dignity' offended by someone pointing out that the sept he represents has about as much standing and dignity as a bunch of pickpockets at a cattle mart.

Founded by a New York carpetbagger and populated since by people who can only think of what they can stuff down their own gullet and wedge in their own pocket. The only thing they lack is the official schooling to enable them to carry on the same procedure at banks or hedgefunds.

Irish politics is a horsefair full of chancers on the scrounge and it always has been because the people don't know any different. In a strange way Brussels and the IMF may do for the remaining crowd of FF supporters who i'm pretty sure hang about in public service and mainly because of the patronage system manipulated by the FF septs around the country. People who were 'got into' the Gardai or civil service and know damn well that in a meritocracy they'd earn nish.

The sooner the other shoes drops and the demand for x thousands of civil servants to be booted comes in the better. FF will truly be killed off when that hidden crew in the Irish undergrowth realises 'de party' is incapable of cossetting their lives any longer.
