    The enquiry will be limited in scope and power, but who knows, something might emerge from it. It will give the press plenty of cheap and easy stories. But at this stage, we know plenty about the background to the bank collapse and really should be focusing on what is happening now.

    Interesting timing there. The IMOS today says that John McGuinness has written to Kevin Cardiff, David Doyle, Pat Neary and John Hurley to request their attendance at Public Accounts Committee hearings in January.
    Looks like the PAC has forced the government to get the finger out.

    Get a few hearings in before the local elections and another round before the budget.
