Bullfighters are all familiar with these and many other incidents yet still walk out into the ring. It takes some balls imo.

Having watched that with gritted teeth I would observe that some walk into the ring with balls, and leave without them.

Young fellas get into cars and put the foot to the floor having seen numerous ads about death on the roads. It's not courage; it's stupidity - on the part of those participating and those glorifying it. Slaughtering cattle in this barbaric way should be banned.

You are not comparing like with like. I doubt young men in Ireland feel any fear at all when they get into cars and put the foot to the floor. But you can be assured that a matador feels fear every time he walks into a ring.

And one could argue that all courage is stupidity ...

Perhaps bullfighting should be banned. I don't really have a strong view one way or the other. But there is a lot of hypocrisy on these questions. Personally, I would rather watch a fighting bull dying while doing what it is in its nature to do, trying to kill those in it front of it, that watch a psychotic polar bear pacing it's pen in Dublin zoo day after day.
