Two stories on the Indo stood out and both concerned the Irish education system. First is a story on a couple who have homeschooled their children were fines €2000 for failing to register them with the agency responsible for homeschooling.

In Carlow District Court, Mr O'Neill argued that it was their constitutional right to educate their children at home and that they shouldn't have to register them with the board.
Second story concerns a young woman with Downs Syndrome who was forced to miss the Leaving Cert because of a lack of support for her to sit her exams
