    Ceart go leaor... to encourage the use of the language, and the learning of the language, its use should be encouraged, but an English translation of what is said - or what is meant to be said - would be welcomed for those of us less fluent.

    As a writer, I tried writing in Irish, and got a fleunt speaker to edit my school Irish, which I then published online - with translator accredited of course!!!! There is quite a gap, so much so - as much due to costs as much as anything - Ive stopped writing in Irish, but getting a bit of practice of the cupla focial would be welcome.

    Indeed allowance should be made for the dialects too...

    No doubt someone will call for an Oolshter Schoots thread as well... hehehehe!!!
