Was this the shooting where someone was run over, and then shot while being resuscitated ?

The breath test scandal is way beyond any joke. The Commissioner is having an enquiry, but has no idea at all how it could have happened.
The Minister alleges she didn't know it had happened until the Garda press release....

The Minister seems to know nothing about everything.

Back in 2015 Noirín O'Sullivan said that all of the problems of Garda statistics were being addressed, but now she doesn't seem to know what is going on. We might find out she says, that the problems of worthless spoofed up crime stats go much further than breath tests. Something that people in Donegal and the whistleblowers have been telling us for years.

It didn't stop her from claiming that the stats showed that the Force was prevailing.

But sure isn't it an "operational matter" nothing to see in the Dept.

If it wasn't so serious it would be a joke. It is another example of the utter corruption that pervades the guards.

    Fennelly says

"“It is of serious concern that ... evidence is disclosed that members of An Garda Siochána involved in the investigation, including the officer responsible for preparing the report for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, were prepared to contemplate altering, modifying or suppressing evidence that did not assist them in furthering their belief that Mr Bailey murdered Madame Toscan du Plantier,” it said."

Yes, and one way or the other Mr Bailey will ensure we pay up for that sh1te. Even better, the Det Sgt concerned is dead, so no possibility of a rebuttal.
Bailey will laugh all the way to the bank, Fennelly has made his case for him. Doesn't matter that Fennelly said there was no interference with the so-called justice, but the idea is enough to put before a jury.

Gardai who have been suspended years ago are still on full pay waiting for an outcome of investigations. Hmm.

Meanwhile in Cork, 2 Gardai are being investigated for possibly logging "false checkpoints" on pulse.

Surely they would be logging in actual car registrations and offences ? Surely someone would have complained ? No ?

    Phone-tapping hits all private citizens
A private conversation with a loved one, friend, or confidant is supposed to be kept that way - which is why this is so shocking, writes Niall O’Connor
