Danger of Energy Drinks!

Gawker reporting on to an investigation into energy drinks. Apparently there is an FDA investigation into the death of a girl from Monster, a brand of energy drink.When the autopsy was carried out it was reported that the cause of death was ""cardiac arrhythmia due to caffeine toxicity"

I remember a friend of mine drinking a couple of cans of energy drinks and he having to sit on a barrell out the back of the pub while had palpatations!

I'm not surprised to read this. Son used to have an fierce predilection for Monster and often said his heart beat was too fast afterwards. Filthy bloody stuff. Awful stink from it too. Finally persuaded him to stop buying it.

Some comments blaming a sensetivity on the patients part to caffeine.

Underlying cause = Greedy manufacturers who don't give a monkeys about what their stuff does to their consumers. If that much caffeine was put in a pill, it would be banned for it's toxic levels. Different regulations, depending on how you market your poison...
