    Coffee Overload!

Obama started well and ruffled Romney over his tax policy but now Romney seems better briefed than Obama who seems to be floundering over the economy and the fine detail. Romney keeps talking about small business and the problems it faces obviously to show that he isn't Mr Big Business. Romney seems to be avoiding going into too much detail on his own policies. This is the worst I ever seen Obama performing on TV.

Most commentators giving this to Romney. Obama seemed ill prepared and Romney did as well as he possibly could. Obama certainly needs to up his game.

I didnt see the debate, but IT reports that Obabma failed to attack Romney on any of his gaffes or vulnerabilities.

The trouble with such statesmanship is that if Obama changes tactics and attacks Romney in one of the other debates, it will come cross as desperation.

Time to make mental preparations for a Romney white house.

Jim Lehrer failed to control the debate, allowing Mitt Romney to interpret the rules and overrun his allotted time several times, in particular, getting the last word on different topics. President Obama never directly challenged Romney about anything while he allowed Romney to lecture him several times on his ineffectiveness and his misrepresentations of Romney's policies. Obama was the loser this morning and Romney came across as more energetic, better prepared, and more seriously committed to winning the White House.

My glorious workplace contains several Democratically inclined US citizens. They are saying Obama lost. If the Obama supporters are saying that, I'm afraid he seriously lost.

Prez Romney here we come. Someone said he had a friendship with Netanyahu going back years. If this is true, Ahmadinejad and Khamenei should move into a bunker after Chrimbo and the rest of us should stockpile oil

Fair play to CNN for getting this poll done so quickly. They found 430 "adult Americans" really fast!

The really important poll will be the next one on actual voting intentions. If that stays more or less as it was before the debate, then Obama need not worry to much. If it moves Romney's way, he is in trouble.

The flip side of this has happened though I believe. Years ago when Bush was losing against Kerry in a run off and there was a debate and many believed that Kerry had one and in came Bush in a surprise move. This is going to hot up and we are going to see it go right down to the wire. What are the reprecussions if Romney gets in? Well America wont be very bright, more economic depression and Iran will be a distant memory as it may not exist any more. Didnt the same happen with Gore too?
