    The ECB knew.

FF were under pressure, but still clever enough to look after their mates as part of the deal.

Is there evidence of this ?

Also, seen Draghi on One O'clock News pretty much throw out any idea of legacy debt deals. That's a major embarrassment for FG and Labour.

There is a letter from Trichet but FF never revealed it and LAB/FG cannot find it...

The legacy debt is dead. Nothing will change. Draghi said it and now Schauble has said it.

I thought that letter related to the later guarantees? I remember at the time of the first guarantee, seeing pretty angry EU leaders and finance ministers in the media as Lenihan went around at home with his chest stuck out saying what a bold move it was.... FF would have people believe it was an EU thing, I believe otherwise.

If the debt deal is dead then why are we still in the ESM ? Just say, on second thoughts lads, it's not for us. Good luck.

We really need leaders with spines. FG/Labour don't have what it takes I'm afraid....

    As I said earlier

I think our lot have reached the final stage of Lucey's proposal (the ECB will not/can not cut us off) but instead of using this as leverage to get a better deal for the State they are using it as an excuse to carry on regardless.

So we pay in €508m to the ESM on Monday. Somebody remind me again why we are doing that?

It,s for when the obviously insolvent German Banks go looking for another bailout.

Seemingly the 64 billion we gave them already was,nt anywhere near, enough.
