Always was.
Sure, every tax break building, farm and outhouse, in Dublin was bought by political donors to FF and FG, just before the tax breaks were given and the lands were rezoned.
Sure, Treasury Holdings were just fortunate to find that every building they ever bought ended up rented to the Irish Govt at exhorbitant rates, that could only be adjusted upwards.
The Bailey Bros were just fortunate to have bought up agricultural land all over North County Dublin, just before all of this land was rezoned.
Just a coincidence that the Pavillions Shopping Centre was built on the site that used to be where Ray Burke lived.
It is just a coincidence that every political dynasty in the country, has an Estate Agent in the family.
Just a coincidence that to be an Estate Agent in Ireland all you have to do is have 5k in a bank account.
Looks like the two PCCs in Reilly's constituency are to be HSE run rather than PPPs.
"He said the HSE has signed a lease to provide a primary healthcare centre in Balbriggan — meaning it will not be among the 20 chosen for a public-private partnership. The HSE is also in "advanced negotiations" to lease a Swords premises."
So no fear of being BUPAed if they're not profitable.

What is with Irish shopping centres seemingly being built like this? There was coincidences like this years ago

The upshot was that a proposed deal to sell 69 acres of land at Quarryvale, owned by Dublin corporation and county council, fell through after Green Property expressed an interest in buying the site. In the end, following a public tender, Gilmartin had to pay £70,000 an acre, rather than the £40,000 originally agreed.
Without going into the convoluted takeover of Quarryvale by Owen O’Callaghan, it is clear that members of the county council were corruptly induced to rezone it in 1991 for a major retail development – what became the Liffey Valley centre – to the detriment of the designated town centre in Neilstown.

Shortall could be walking the plank soon
http://www.herald.ie/news/reilly-and...r-3236805.htmlRELATIONS between James Reilly and Roisin Shortall were at "breaking point" this weekend with senior government figures predicting a reshuffle of ministers in the strife-torn Department of Health.
Health Minister Dr Reilly has become embroiled in yet another highly embarrassing public spat with his junior counterpart -- this time over primary care.
It has emerged that Dr Reilly ensured that two locations in his own Dublin North constituency were added to a HSE list of places chosen for primary care centres.
Dr Reilly has come under fire for the move after it became clear that HSE bosses and Ms Shortall did not believe the Swords and Balbriggan sites warranted priority status.

Dr. Reilly should be reviewing the whole primary care centre plan. Now that Ireland is bankrupt we could renovate some of the abandoned shops, offices, convents etc.instead of building new buildings. Many towns have very fancy glass arts centres which the councils can no longer afford to heat, they could easily be converted into primary health care centres . Every town in Ireland has empty buildings, the old health board building in Bray is abandoned with grass going up around it. Dungarvan is on this priority list but the site, which is in the industrial centre, was refused planning for the second time recently. Time to "go back to the drawing board"! Dr. Reilly could end the controversy by just tearing up the list.
Having a government minister as a TD should not disqualify people from having primary medical care.

SBP and Sindo report story from Fingal Independent in June that he promised local care centre before officials drew up list...

The Sindo claims that Reilly had promised his constituents months ago that he'd deliver the PCCs. Obviously it wasn't a Roscommon or Monaghan promise.

It seems the rot of cronyism is becoming necrotic in Ballymote.
The corrupt politicians responsible for this probably see their nefarious activities as a victim-less crime, they will not twig that the suffering caused to the sick needing primary care in de-prioritized areas is on their hands.

on twip laterLeo Varadkar has said the decision to locate 2 primary care centres in the Health Minister's constituency "does look like" stroke politics.
