Reports online that Cameron is going to use the British Army to smash up strikers should there be strikes in the UK. The plans allege that the army was asked to prepare the army for smashing up the strikers were reported on the Morning Star

Bellicose Prime Minister David Cameron came under fire today over leaked plans to mobilise thousands of troops as strike breakers.

Mr Cameron has reportedly been acting like a Colonel Blimp and urging military chiefs to prepare for an expanded role against strikers.

Left MPs demanded that Mr Cameron must come clean over alleged secret plans for troops to replace striking prison officers, firefighters, train drivers and other key workers, revealed in the Times.

A Downing Street spokesman admitted that contingency plans existed for the army to deal with "a range of scenarios."

Will we be seeing something reminiscent of Tatcher..



The pigs and the army will get their arse handed to them if they try interfering I think. There is a lot of tension there with cuts to benefits, class marginalisation...etc...

Cameron can't control his own party and is unlikely to ask for civil trouble.

He needs to protect ordinary people from ps trade unions by letting them strike on own expense without affecting lives of ordinary citizens

After seeing the London riots and how disenfranchised people were I think people are showing they are disattisfied with the status quo and that is only the tip of the ice berg. If the cops are going to be heavy handed they will get back as what they dish out. The army though is a step too far, idiots who failed miserably in life with weapons? Sounds like a recipe for disaster....
