Media silence is reprehensible. What do people have to do to get their concerns out into the light of day?

Have disagreed with you many times PK but can find no fault with any of your posts on this thread.
It's not about the aims, actions or alleged actions of those on strike but the inhuman treatment they are receiving and the complicity of those who do not speak out in the strongest terms.

If dreams were lightning, thunder was desire, this whole place would have burned down, a long time ago.
Agreed, being banged up on remand for months and years seems to be the stock and trade of the new PSNI. Plus bailing people on strict terms which ruin their lives and in many cases there is an acquittal at the end of the day.
As regards these fellows on hunger strike it would appear that those charged by law to protect them are deliberately putting their lives in danger by exposing them to LVF elements and separating them to ensure their isolation.
Any right thinking person should be aware that hunger striking is not something ordinary but an extraordinary and desperate last ditch act by a person. To maintain it for over three weeks indicates the seriousness of the desperation of these men.
It is a disgrace that there has been no mention of this in any newspaper and indeed no comment form the wider republican movement save for an RSF blog site.,

Tweet it to Suzanne Breen.
She comes across as gutsy.

where is she writing for now
followed and shared via twitter - Facebook etc since 1st week of HS - sent emails to some media today - civil rights network today emailed me said its unbelievable the media silence on this. i understand differences between republican groups and dont want to go into a major debate here on that we can talk and talk and outside organisations have that but inside mag they don't and these fellas are into week 5 - save for blogs has anyone had interest from media-its not just political or ideological its real-humanitarian-if they are denied access to safe eating facilities that's a human right and necessity and intimidation by loyalists incompetence by authorities! no word from politicians - media and personally i think its evident this is real and regardless put differences aside get them on the republican wing and off hunger strike - there is very little time for major discourse -
Hi wombatwalk.
I think that the guys on hunger strike need to get their message out - the reasons why they are on hunger strike - in a clear way that anyone can understand, not only people who live and breathe republicanism.
Can anyone confirm that the hunger strike is still going on ?
I will share this thread on twitter and facebook again as soon as there is an update.
It seems there is only one script for the newsmedia on anti-GFA republicans and that it the "all criminals" line.
But if "ordinary criminals" were on hunger strike for 5 weeks, would that not reach the newspapers?
