You can't say that banks as corporations deciding that they've outgrown those special purpose vehicles known as 'nations' and announcing that they are systemic and must be bailed out with no known repayment schedules are uniquely Irish.

    'Cheapest bailout in the world'...?

Looks like the authoritarianist instincts of the soviet politburo kicked in, and decided to ban Bertie for speaking the truth.

(Note to self - dont mention immigration, foreigners. Just pretend the mass handout of citizenship to nigerians is not happening. Orwell proved that they can convince a whole population that what they see as plain as day, is not there)

Hey, Bertie, if youre still reading this. You have my respect!

Another blow on behalf of an adult and free society. You might not like what he had to say but he had the right to say it and that is inalienable.

I guess there's no discussion allowed. Onwards to a grown up democracy.

There are site rules that people agree to adhere to. It's like joining a club that says you can't use the dining room while wearing shorts and sandals. When you agree to this upon joining you are not really in a position to moan about your rights being infringed when you are turned away from the dining room because you are wearing shorts and sandals. You do have a general right to wear shorts and sandals and there are many eating establishments which cater for this, but you don't really have the right in a place where it is not catered for, particularly as you agreed with the policy when joining.

One of the biggest myths about leftwingers is that they are liberal. In fact, they clampdown on free speech when anyone disagrees with them.

He didnt break the site rules.

Admit it. You banned him because you disagreed with his views.

Banking is global and banks are corrupt. Politicians are just willing stooges.

The EU is being run by the unelected, but supremely powerful ECB and is holding member states to ransom on behalf of these corrupt bankers.

The bankers and bought politicians are everywhere.

Elections and protest marches will not suffice. Unfortunately real, destructive revolution is needed and that is unpredictable.

One thing is certain, not every country will get the right change of Govt.
Plenty of countries offering a lot more than Ireland atm in more ways than one. France for one offers a good deal of fluidity no matter who is in power due to their inbred hatred of politicians. I hope to meet captain and a few of you over in paris storming the bastille in another life perhaps.

From what I can gather Balbriggan, a town very close to me, has got a sizeable African/Black minority/community. The only problem I have with some Africans though is how loud they shout on the phone when on my bus route, though Drogheda dialect spoken on speaker phone can be just as annoying(lets just say I think talking on your phone shouldnt be allowed on buses/trains-one of my French habits).

It's pretty clear why Bertie was banned. Many Irish people are getting citizenship in Canada/Australia etc. We'd be hypocrites to deny others that right. And even if he thinks such a thing, there are non-racist ways of saying it. I'm sure he could have looked at a Mitt Romeny speech for the correct use of 'illegal alien' language. Everyone's a foreigner outside of their own country and such views normally come from people who've never even set foot outside this rock.
