Israeli embassy in Dublin evacuated as device found

Just on Newstalk now:
A suspect device has been found at the Israeli Embassy in Dublin.

Gardaí are currently evacuating the building on Pembroke Road in Ballsbridge.

The Army Bomb Disposal Team is on their way to the scene.

It is understood Gardaí were notified about a suspect package found at the Embassy just before 11am this morning.

Might seem a bit cynical but there is nothing beyond the pale when it comes to dragging the bodies of the Shoah across Israeli Foreign Policy.

Handy little event today which would set up the public lecture nicely and gain extra media interest.

If you were going to attack an Israeli asset in Dublin I can think of one or two obvious shill councillors that would be a target rather than the Embassy. And the timing a day ahead of this public lecture is a tad suspicious- a suspicious media package in itself.

Deborah Lipstadt's is good at timing, her book, Denying the Holocaust, was released just prior to the opening of the Washington Holocaust Memorial Museum. Her contention these days is that "the new anti-Semitism" has entered the mainstream. Her only problem with this is the fact that the Holocaust is denied by only a few crackpots who are given publicity by her writing and lectures. She goes further, however, in her claim that the latest attack on historical truth comes from people who refuse to believe in the uniqueness of the Nazi Holocaust against the Jews. To cite the genocide of Armenians by Turks, Lipstadt contends, is to use one of the "immoral equivalencies". Norman Finkelstein in his book, The Holocaust Industry, explains Lipstadt's allegations this way, "To question a survivor's testimony, to denounce the role of Jewish collaborators, to suggest that German's suffered during the bombing of Dresden or that any state except Germany committed crimes in World War II -- this is all evidence, according to Lipstadt, of Holocaust denial." (Lipstadt, Denying the Holocaust. pp 6, 12, 22, 89-90.)

I expect this will all be regurgitated at the Trinity this afternoon.

False alarm.

Yup. Part of the COIN strategy indulged in by Israeli government shills. I've never met anyone who partook in denial and only ever heard of Irvine as regards Holocaust denial.

And yet there is this industry, notable for example in the Sunday Times book reviewing section for almost routine inclusion of some book or review of one or other element of the holocaust.

It is like a super-nova of propaganda linking any objection to current Israeli policies in the middle-east or anywhere else for that matter with 'holocaust denial' and anti-semitism. It is a pretty clear policy.

A bit like Sinn Feiners have the body of a dead Garda dragged across the stage anytime they threaten to take a major place in Irish politics- the Israeli Holocaust industry drags the bodies of the Shoah repeatedly around the world like some grotesque circus of cloud cover for its own atrocities today.

It is pretty grim stuff.

I suppose Deborah will be making reference in ominous tones today to the 'terror incident' at the Israeli embassy in Dublin this week

Thats how this disinformation and COIN stuff works in the civilian sphere.
