    Exclamation Local Bye-Laws

Is there one central area where local bye-laws can be accessed? Just had a neighbour fire up his lawn mower (@21:10) while Everton and Man U were playing!

As bad as the noise from the mower was, Everton damn well scored while I was asking the guy to shut his mower down

How do you feel about Manchester United getting stuffed? Was it really the lawnmower that ''fired you up.?''

Tongue in cheek Andrew Me thinks you're a Manchester United supporter looking for a ''Bye Law'' to somehow overturn the result.

How could anyone bother watching soccer after the heroics on the hurling pitches and the great efforts of all the Olympians.

Those highly paid soccer players fall over writhing if someone brushes against the TV. Disgraceful.

I doubt if many areas have byelaws against use of lawn mowers

But there's only one hurling team in Ireland - coincidentally from the county I was born in - all the others are just stick-wielders. Having said that I'm proud to admit that I received coaching (of a high order) from John & Jimmy Doyle - from the neighbouring county when they were THE hurling team.

There doesn't seem to be any specific regulation covering mowers and what times they can be operated - but there ARE noise regulations.

I know I have never used a mower before 11 am or after 7pm.

This same noisy neighbour did take out his Hedge Trimmer during the opening game of the last soccer World Cup - after about 15 minutes of continuous noise a few of the neighbours (myself NOT included) confronted him and demanded he shut the damn thing off. This idiot didn't even have a hedge to trim! The Gardai eventually confiscated the damn thing from him.
